This cabin has a long island history – actually residing in two other locations before coming to rest at North Beach. Recent years saw it being used as haphazard storage – mostly abandoned and rapidly deteriorating. While we were able to save the foundation, most of the construction from foundation up is new. The best feature of the site is a lovely south-easterly view across a pond which was restored and is now home to all kinds of wildlife, including a family of otters. The Owners are avid bird watchers, and when it is not being used as a studio they often use the space like a bird-blind for watching wildlife.
The small 380sf space was designed to be very flexible. Amenities like a murphy bed and a “murphy table” disappear into casework when not in use. A retractable ladder accesses a 35sf loft.
